‘Chayasongi’ set for Chand Raat release

Director Sohel Raaz’s latest drama “Chayasongi” is set to premiere on Chand Raat, adding a romantic thriller to the festive lineup. Starring Khairul Basar and Sadnima Binte Noman in the lead roles, the drama will be released today (March 20) on Shushmita Anis’s YouTube channel.

The story centres on Sultan, a contract killer portrayed by Khairul Basar. Although a killer, the character targets only those deemed harmful to society. In a turn of events, Sadnima’s character becomes his next target. As Sultan embarks on the mission, a series of unexpected incidents begin to unfold.

Khairul Basar said, “Even a hardened person can transform through love. However, sustaining that change is not always easy, as society often resists what is pure.”

Director Sohel Raaz noted that Basar performed the action sequences himself without a stunt double, continuing to shoot despite suffering from a high fever.

The drama also features a song titled “Onek Bhalobeshe”, written by Someshwar Oli, composed by Sajid Sarkar, and sung by Niloy and Shusmita Anis.
