Bryan Cranston taking a break from acting
"Breaking Bad" famed star Bryan Cranston recently announced that he will be taking a temporary retirement from his acting career and his business ventures in 2026. According to media outlets, Bryan plans to spend his 6 month long 'retirement' time with his wife and family.
The actor shared with the media, "I want to change the paradigm once again. For the last 24 years, Robin (his wife, Robin Dearden) has led her life holding onto my tail. She's been the plus one, she's been the wife of a celebrity. She's had to pivot and adjust her life based on mine. She has tremendous benefit from it, but we're uneven. I want to level that out. She deserves it."
During his retirement time, Bryan plans to close his production company, Moonshot Entertainment and sell a portion of his shares on Dos Hombres, which he co-founded with his "Breaking Bad" co-star, Aaron Paul.
Bryan further stated to the media, "The plan is to move to a foreign country and spend time relaxing with gardening and cooking. I want to have that experience; I want to go for day trips and have the fire in the fireplace and drink wine with new friends and not read scripts."
"I won't be thinking about work. I'm not going to be taking phone calls," concluded the actor who will turn 70 in 2026.
