Apurba talks about Nisho and Shakib Khan in Kolkata interview
Ziaul Faruq Apurba, the acclaimed actor currently immersed in his Tollywood debut project, "Chaalchitro", finds himself amidst the vibrant streets of Kolkata for the film's shooting. Recently, he graced an exclusive interview with a local media outlet in India.
During this candid conversation, the "Icon Man" actor shed light on his deep-rooted friendship with Afran Nisho and shared his admiration for the Dhallywood superstar, Shakib Khan.
Apurba reminisced, "Nisho and I share a profound friendship, one that predates his television career. I was the one who recommended him to Gazi Rakayet bhai for acting. Though he momentarily ventured into other pursuits, he has now returned to the world of acting."
The actor also addressed the intriguing case of mistaken identity in Kolkata, where fans often confuse Nisho with Apurba due to their uncannily similar facial features. He chuckled as he revealed, "Nisho faced this amusing predicament too and encountered his fair share of 'Apurba' mix-ups. Thankfully, he's now well-recognised as Nisho."
Reflecting on Shakib Khan, Apurba expressed his admiration, stating, "Shakib Khan is a bona fide superstar, deserving every accolade. For an actor to dominate the industry for such a long time is proof of what he is made of. Everyone has ups and downs in their life—today he (Shakib Khan) is sitting at the top; someone else will take that place in the future."
In addition to discussing his professional journey, Apurba also shared his delightful experiences in Kolkata, savoring the local cuisine and exploring the city's enchanting sights.
Directed by Pratim D Gupta, "Chaalchitro" boasts a stellar cast featuring Tota Roy Choudhury, Shantanu Maheshwari, Raima Sen, and Swastika Dutta, among others. The film intricately weaves the tale of four Kolkata police detectives striving to unravel the mysteries surrounding a twelve-year-old case.
