Amy Jackson breaks silence on getting trolled

The "Singh is Bling" actress Amy Jackson recently fell victim to being trolled online, due to her new look seeming quite similar to the "Oppenheimer" star Cillian Murphy. While the actress had endured this online negativity for over a week, she finally broke the silence.

In her latest interview, Amy shared with the media, "I'm an actor and I take my job very seriously. For the last month, I've been filming a new project in the UK. So, for the character I am playing, I had to slim down and fully commit myself to the role."

She further added, "The online outcry from the (mostly male) Indian demographic is quite sad. I have worked with male co-stars who had to drastically change their look for a film, and they were highly praised for it. The moment a woman does it through unusual hair and makeup, that doesn't conform to their idealism of beauty, they think they have the right to troll you."

Meanwhile, Amy also expressed that she feels quite happy about the online audience comparing her to the "Picky Blinders" star Cillian Murphy.

Amy Jackson was last seen in the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer film "2.0" back in 2018. She will be returning to the Indian silver screen with her upcoming project titled "Mission Chapter 1" directed by Arun Vijay.
