Lamia Chowdhury, the daughter of late film actors Diti and Sohel Chowdhury, has alleged that she was attacked in Sonargaon, Narayanganj. The incident reportedly took place today (Saturday) around 3:00 pm. She informed The Daily Star that she had been subjected to an attack due to a clash over her ancestral property.

During the attack, Lamia went live on Facebook, where several individuals were seen aggressively approaching her and her relatives. Lamia stated that the attackers hurled bricks at their car, shattering its windows.

Lamia Chowdhury said, "Ever since my mother passed away, I visit Narayanganj every Friday and Saturday with my cousins. Our relatives live there, and we spend time with them. Today, we went there as usual, but upon our arrival, we were attacked by criminals. For quite some time, there has been an attempt to seize our ancestral land in Sonargaon, Narayanganj. That is why, as soon as I arrived, a group of armed attackers confronted us, intending to harm us. They pushed me to the ground, breaking my leg. They also snatched my phone and tore my dupatta. I was terrified and quickly got into the car."

As she spoke, Lamia broke down in tears, sobbing uncontrollably. She continued, "Both my parents are gone, and they left this land for us, but we can't even claim it. People from all directions are trying to seize our property. My brother is not in the country, and I am managing everything alone. That's why they are targeting me like this. This has been going on for years—I cannot even explain the suffering. My life is in danger. I am alone, and these criminals know it."

Lamia added, "Everyone knows that my parents have passed away. They want to take advantage of that, assuming that because I am a woman, I will be scared by threats and intimidation. But no, this is our ancestral property, my brother's and mine. Our parents worked hard to acquire this land. I will not give it up to violent criminals. Our relatives live there, and today I witnessed the attackers locking them inside their house from the outside."

On Facebook, Lamia posted, "Is there no one with me? Just because my parents are gone, does that mean I have no one? No one, no one, no one." At 4:10 pm, she made another post, stating, "They broke my leg. They are not even letting me go to the hospital. They threw bricks at my car and shattered it. I cannot walk."
