Pink Floyd have released a brand-new official music video for "Wish You Were Here", marking the ongoing celebrations surrounding the album's 50th anniversary edition.

The band shared the video on December 17-, saying, "To celebrate WYWH being number one here's the new official video…". The release follows the launch of "Wish You Were Here 50", which arrived last Friday, December 12, in multiple formats.

The anniversary edition is available as 3LP, 2CD, Blu-ray, digital, and a Deluxe Box Set. The digital version includes the original 1975 album, now featuring a new Dolby Atmos mix by James Guthrie, whose collaboration with the band dates back to "The Wall" (1979).

Also included are 25 bonus tracks, comprising nine studio rarities and 16 live recordings captured by renowned bootlegger Mike Millard during Pink Floyd's Los Angeles Sports Arena concert on April 26, 1975. These live recordings are receiving their first official release and have been restored and remastered by Steven Wilson.

The Blu-ray edition offers additional archival material, including three concert screen films from the band's 1975 tour, along with a short film by Storm Thorgerson. The 3LP and 2CD versions include the original album alongside the nine studio bonus tracks.

The Deluxe Box Set brings together all previously mentioned audio and visual content, alongside a fourth clear vinyl LP titled "Live at Wembley 1974", a replica Japanese 7-inch single of "Have a Cigar" backed with "Welcome to the Machine", a hardcover book featuring unseen photographs, a comic-style tour programme, and a Knebworth concert poster. Limited-edition 50th anniversary merchandise is also being released through the band's official website.

First released in 1975, "Wish You Were Here" has remained a fixture on greatest-albums lists for decades. The multi-platinum record was Pink Floyd's first to top the charts in both the UK and the US, becoming their fastest-selling album at the time.

Coming just two years after "The Dark Side of the Moon" transformed Pink Floyd into one of the world's biggest rock acts, "Wish You Were Here" was widely seen as the band's response to sudden global fame. Half a century on, the continued interest surrounding the album underlines the enduring fascination with Pink Floyd's music.
