A soulful evening of mystic music awaits Munshiganj this Thursday as Padmahem Dham in Sirajdikhan hosts a "Sadhusanga" to mark the 135th death anniversary of Fakir Lalon Shah — the saint-poet whose songs still echo through Bengal's spiritual heartland.

The two-part event will be inaugurated by noted actor and director Afzal Hossain, while Superintendent of Police (Tourist Police) Nihad Adnan Taian will attend as the chief guest and deliver the keynote speech.

Kabir Hossain, founder of Padmahem Dham, said the celebration will begin at 3pm on October 23  with an agomoni gaan (arrival song), setting the tone for an evening steeped in Lalon's philosophy of love and humanity. The main musical session, titled "Dhonno Prohorer Gaan"(Songs of the Blessed Hour), will start at 8pm, featuring an ensemble of Baul musicians and devotees.

This year's lineup includes Pagla Bablu, Razzak Baul, Samir Baul, Arif Baul, Suchona Shelly, Dolly Mondol, and Eliza Putul, who will perform timeless Lalon songs. Instrumental support will come from Saidul on harmonium, Bhuttu Baul on dotara, Suman Baul on tabla, and Arif on flute.

"This gathering is more than just music," said Kabir Hossain. "It's a communion of souls — an offering to Lalon's message of compassion and unity."

Padmahem Dham's annual Sadhusanga continues a long-standing tradition of celebrating Lalon's legacy through song, meditation, and collective reflection — a reminder that the mystic's teachings remain as relevant today as they were a century ago.
