Obscure marks 40 Years with vinyl record album ‘Reincarnation’
Before the era of cassettes and CDs, vinyl records—often called long play (LP) records—were one of the most popular mediums for listening to music. Recently, vinyl has been making a global comeback, with celebrated artists and bands re-releasing timeless hits in the classic format. Following this trend, Bangladesh's legendary rock band Obscure is stepping into the vinyl era with their new album "Reincarnation".
The album will feature some of the band's most iconic songs, including "Kal Sararat", "Majharate Chand Jodi", "Nijhum Rater Andhare", "Swapnacharini", "Chhaira Gelam Matir Prithibi", "Eibar Shesh Hok", and "Kemon Acho", along with several other selected tracks. All songs have been newly re-recorded with fresh sound arrangements.

While the album "Reincarnation" has already been released digitally on all major platforms under the label Gaan Baksho Music, fans will have to wait a little longer to hold the vinyl edition. The band confirmed that the re-recorded tracks have been sent to Ireland for pressing, and they expect the vinyl record to be ready for release in January 2026.
Marking 40 years in the music industry, Obscure had earlier announced their 14th album after a six-year break. Originally scheduled for release on Independence Day, March 26, the album was delayed due to the national situation. The collection includes 10 carefully chosen tracks that defined the band's four-decade journey, all remixed and produced with a modern touch.
Obscure's frontman and vocalist Sayed Hasan Tipu reflected on the milestone: "From 1985 to 2025, our journey has been filled with challenges, but music was always our driving force. The love and support of our fans have been our strength and inspiration. That's why we wanted to make this 40-year milestone truly memorable with the release of 'Reincarnation'. The vinyl will stand as a symbol of our journey—a keepsake for generations."
