Ed Sheeran to release Fall album, 'Autumn Variations'
Just a mere four months after the release of his sixth studio album "Subtract" in May, musician Ed Sheeran has exciting news for his fans. On Thursday, Sheeran unveiled that he is set to drop another album titled "Autumn Variations," produced by Aaron Dessner.
The album is scheduled to be released under his own Gingerbread Man Records on September 29. This announcement comes just one week after the conclusion of the North American leg of his "Mathematics World Tour," wrapping up on September 23 at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Explaining the inspiration behind the album, Sheeran shared, "Last autumn, I found that my friends and I were going through so many life changes. After the heat of the summer, everything either calmed, settled, fell apart, came to a head or imploded." He further expressed how writing songs had helped him navigate through difficult times and comprehend his emotions, and he applied the same approach to understand the challenges his friends were facing.
The album is expected to encapsulate the spectrum of emotions experienced during this transformative period, from the highs of love and new connections to the lows of heartbreak, depression, and confusion.
