Coke Studio Bangla finally dropped their fifth song "Deora", featuring Pritom Hasan, Ghaashphoring Choir and boat racer Fazlu Majhi. The energetic number is a mixture of sarigaan and palagaan. A few moments earlier, the song was officially released from Coke Studio Bangla's YouTube channel.

It is said that the song is a traditional song which is sung by the boatsmen during a boat race (Nouka Baich), mostly popular in the northern parts of Bangladesh. The song is a perfect rhythm for monsoon and autumn seasons in the lands of rivers, Bangladesh.

'Sarigaan' is a type of folk song, sung by boatmen. It is also known as the "workman's song". It derives its name from the fact that boatmen or crew typically sit in a sari or row, while singing such songs. It is also popular among workers since it relieves boredom and helps them maintain the pace of their rowing.

The track is a great fusion of modern music and folk, which was beautifully performed by Fazlu Majhi, Pritom, Islam Uddin Palakar and Ghaashphoring Choir. The inspiring lyrics for the song have been penned by Fazlu Majhi himself.

A few lines have been added to the original song, with the modern portion being written by Pritom. His opening lines were just a prelude to the crescendo that is not far behind – the track reveals itself to be a groovy tribute to Bangla's beloved folk songs voiced by boatmen all around beautiful Bangladesh.

Coke Studio Bangla, after much talk and criticism surrounding its previous released, has seemingly finally come back to the form that we love and expect.
