Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025 announced
Bangla Academy has announced the names selected for the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025 for their contributions in eight sectors this year. The names were disclosed through a press release today.
According to the press note, the awards will be formally conferred at the inaugural ceremony of the Amar Ekushey Grantha Mela (book fair) 2026 on Thursday (February 26).

This year’s recipients are as follows:
Poetry– Mohon Raihan
Fiction– Nasima Anis
Essays/Prose– Syed Azizul Haque
Children’s Literature– Hasan Hafiz
Translation– Ali Ahmad
Research– Mustafa Majid and Israel Khan
Science– Farseem Mannan Mohammedy
Liberation War– Maidul Hasan
The release stated that the executive council of Bangla Academy approved the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025 based on the recommendations of the nomination committee and in line with the decision of the award committee.
It also mentioned that the awards will be officially presented on February 26 at the book fair, organised by Bangla Academy.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will hand over the awards, the statement added.
