Shakib Khan’s ‘Rockstar’ doubles shows after strong opening
Shakib Khan starrer “Rockstar” has witnessed a strong response from audiences immediately after its release, leading to a sharp increase in screenings at Star Cineplex.
The film opened with 18 shows across different branches of the cineplex on its release day. However, following positive audience turnout and strong ticket sales, the number of shows was doubled to 36 on the second day.
According to cineplex authorities, the surge in advance bookings and heightened Eid enthusiasm among moviegoers prompted the decision to increase the screenings. The film has reportedly drawn significant interest from both young audiences and family viewers.
Even before its release, “Rockstar” had generated buzz for its blend of romance, music and stylish presentation. The post-release audience response has further reinforced the expectations surrounding the film.
Directed by Azman Rusho and produced by Anjan Chowdhury under the banner of Sun Motion Pictures Limited, the film features Shakib Khan alongside Sabila Nur, Tangia Zaman Methila and Sunidhi Nayek.
A total of nine films have hit theatres across 181 cinema halls nationwide this Eid. Among them, “Rockstar” has emerged as one of the most discussed releases, securing screenings in 103 halls across the country.
