Probe to find link between foreigners’ murder: Kamal

The law enforcers will work to find whether there is any link between the killings of two foreigners in the span of five days, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said today.

The minister made this statement to Bangla daily Prothom Alo soon after the murder of Japanese citizen Kunio Hoshi, 66, in Rangpur this morning.

A group of gunmen shot Hishi dead at Mahiganj in Rangpur city around 10:30am today. On Monday, Italian citizen Cesare Tavella was gunned down in Dhaka’s diplomatic zone.

“Whoever is involved with the killings will be identified and brought to book,” Kamal said.

The minister said the government had taken both the killings very seriously.
