PM to brief media on UN visit tomorrow

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a press briefing tomorrow about the outcome of her visit to United Nations to attend the 70th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Hasina will address the media at the Gono Bhaban, her official residencde, around 11:30am, according to sources at the PM's press wing.

The PM left Dhaka for New York September 23 on an eight-day official visit to the UN.

During the visit, she received the "Champions of the Earth" award at a programme in New York in recognition of Bangladesh's far-reaching initiatives on climate change and "ICT Sustainable Development Award" for her contribution to Information Communication and Technologies.

Ruling Awami League men accorded a grand reception to her as he returned home today.
