Railway employee murdered in Kishoreganj

Unidentified miscreants stabbed an employee of Bangladesh Railway to death and injured his wife at their house in Bhairab upazila town of Kishoreganj early today.

The deceased was identified as Mahbub Alam, 40, a resident of Chandiber area of the upazila, reports our correspondent from Brahmanbaria quoting Bahalur Khan Bahar, inspector (Investigation) of Bhairab Police Station.

Mahbub’s wife Roksana Begum, 34, was admitted to Bhairab Upazila Health Complex in critical condition.

Hearing Roksana’s screams for help, neighbours rushed to the house and found her critically injured, the police official said.

They also recovered the body of Mahbub Alam inside the house, the inspector further said.  

Investigation is going on to identify the killers, he said.
