Bodies of 3 missing college students found in Dhaleshwari
Divers of Savar Fire Service and Civil Defense today recovered the bodies of three students of Dhanmondi Ideal College students who went missing in the Dhaleshwari river in Savar yesterday.
The bodies of Akash, Razon and Mehedi were recovered from the river between 10:00am and 3:00pm, our Savar correspondent reports quoting Liton Ahmed, senior station officer of Savar Fire Service and Civil Defense.
The three -- Akash, Razon, and Mehedi, all grade-XI students of the college -- were swept away by strong current when they went swimming in the river.
Bunking classes, 12 students went to their classmate’s house in Savar’s Banktown area. Around 11:30am yesterday, they went swimming in the river but strong current swept three of them away, said one of the students.
Two more students of the group -- Jahid and Manik -- were admitted to Enam Medical College Hospital.
