The nation will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of the Muslims, on September 25, as the Zilhaj moon was not sighted in the country today.

Sameem Mohammad Afzal, director general of Islamic Foundation, made the announcement at a press briefing at the Islamic Foundation office at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka this evening.

The committee made the decision at a meeting after reviewing reports received from different parts of the country.
