"After confirming their nationality, we'll arrange their repatriation for Dhaka," Sayedul Islam, counselor (Labour Wing) at the mission told The Daily Star over phone today.

On receiving the list on Friday, the high commission gathered details about the rescued Bangladeshis including their names, fathers' names and their districts, he mentioned.

Now, the home ministry will verify its authenticity through the respective district police, Sayedul said.

Replying a query about the possible time of the repatriation, he said everything will depend on the completion of the home ministry's verification.

The rescued Bangladeshis are now kept in Kedah detention centre along with the rescued Rohingyas.
