Sacrificial waste remains uncleared in parts of Dhanmondi despite disciplinary action

Piles of sacrificial waste are still visible in parts of Dhaka’s Dhanmondi despite the suspension of two city corporation officials over allegations of negligence in waste removal following Eid-ul-Azha.

The two officials were suspended after allegations surfaced that they had failed to ensure the timely removal of sacrificial waste.

However, residents say heaps of waste remain in the area, raising questions about the effectiveness of the measures taken to address the problem
