The trio was detained from their houses this morning, our Bandarban correspondent reports quoting Abul Khair, officer-in-charge (OC) of Naikkhangchhari Police Station.
A 73-year-old Buddhist monk, U Damma Oaing Cha Bhikkhu, was found dead, with his throat slit, in his temple Chak Nirvana Bouddha Kyang, which is some 250 yards from the nearest village Uppar Chak Para where his family members live.
The two Rohingya men were seen loitering some place away from the usual walk way near the murder spot, the OC said quoting locals.
Earlier, the monk informed his son that he had been feeling unsafe since Thursday when two unidentified men roamed the temple area. He also informed it to his son that 'something unexpected will happen to me and you should stay alert'."
