2,583 schools achieve 100% pass rate

All students under 2,583 schools across the country have passed this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.

The number of such successful secondary schools was 1,574 last year.

This year, 2,135,333 students from 28,682 institutions took the written exams from February 2 to 26.

A total of 146 schools under Dhaka Board, 431 under Rajshahi, 132 under Cumilla, 138 under Dinajpur, 22 under Sylhet, 275 schools under Jashore, 50 from Barishal and 30 schools under Chattogram Board have been able to secure 100 per cent pass rate.

Apart from these, 1,263 institutions under all madrasa boards and 96 under technical boards have replicated the same.

This year, 82.20 per cent of the appearing students passed the SSC and equivalent examinations, says the result published today.

The pass rate, for 10 education boards, was higher compared to last year’s 77.770 per cent. The number of GPA 5 achievers came down to 1,05,594.
