Finance Minister AMA Muhith today said the government has decided to impose 10 percent tax on rice import.
The minister made the disclosure at a pre-budget meeting with the chairmenof different parliamentary standing committees at the National Economic Council Auditorium in Dhaka this afternoon.

The minister also informed that the decision will take effect today.
