Modi visits new chancery complex in Dhaka
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Indian High Commission in Baridhara and inaugurated six projects including the Chancery in the diplomatic enclave to strengthen diplomatic ties.
Modi entered the high commission around 9:40am and planted a sapling of Bakul flower on its premises.
The other projects are:
- Construction building for Blind Education and Rehabilitation Development Organization at Mirpur in Dhaka
- Sewerage System, Sewage treatment plant and waste water treatment plant at Kumudini Medical College and Hospital in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail
- Establishment of Hindi department under Institute of Modern Languages of University of Dhaka (DU)
- Recording studio at music department at DU
- Assistance to the department of dance at DU

Modi left the high commission around 10:00am for Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon where he stayed last night.

Earlier in the morning, the Indian PM offered prayer at Dhakeshwari Temple in Lalbagh and Ramakrishna Mission in Gopibagh.
