Husband burnt as wife pours boiling water on him in Dhaka

A husband suffered burn injuries as his wife poured boiled water on him following family feud in Kallyanpur area of Dhaka early today.

The victim Raza Mollah, 35, is now undergoing treatment at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, family sources said.

Raza Mollah and his wife Selina Begum locked into a quarrel over a family feud last night, victim’s brother Razib Mollah told The Daily Star.

“Selina Begum poured boiled water on my brother when he was sound asleep at their Kallyanpur residence around 4:00am, Razib said.

Selina went into hiding following the incident, he added.
