He was hacked by two masked youths with sharp weapons in front of his house in Faridpur town's Ramkrishna Palli yesterday afternoon.
Alok's wife Shikha Ghosh yesterday said somebody called his husband out from their house. As he crossed the gate and headed towards the road before the house, the assailants started hacking him with sharp weapons.
“Hearing my husband screaming for help, I ran out of the house and embraced him. But two youths pushed me aside and hacked him several times before fleeing,” she said.
