Female human trafficker held in Teknaf

Law enforcers detained an alleged female human trafficker in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar early today.
Rehana Akhter, 28, wife of Mohammad Ali, was picked up from Konduniapara area around 5:15am today, reports our Cox’s Bazar correspondent.
She was picked up during a raid conducted for arresting the enlisted human traffickers in the upazila, said Md Ataur Rahman Khandaker, officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station.
Rehana was accused in a case filed in connection with human trafficking, the OC said.
Earlier on January 21, a team of Detective Branch of Police arrested Rebi Akter, the alleged boss of a human trafficking gang, from her home at Jaliapalong union in Ukhia upazila of Cox's Bazar.
