Detectives arrested three transport workers of a private bus service in Chattogram last night for allegedly attempting to harass sexually a female student of Chittagong University on a running bus.

The three arrestees are: Ehsan Kabir Ehsan, 27, Ali Abbas, 30, supervisor, and Md Faruk Bhutto, 32, helper of the bus, all hailing from Cox's Bazar, police said.

Helpers attempt to sexually harass CU student on running bus

They, employees of an inter-district bus service of Sohag Express, were arrested in Baddarhat Bus Terminal in the port city last night, Amena Begum, additional commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP, operations and crime), told journalists at a press briefing.

Last Friday, the transport workers of the bus service allegedly attempted to sexually harass the female student in Chattogram city’s Gate No-2 area.

The student got on the bus in Patiya upazila.
