BSF hands over 19 Bangladeshis to BGB

Nineteen Bangladeshi nationals detained in India for trespassing have been handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at the Benapole border early today.

The detainees included three children and four women, reports our Benapole correspondent.

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) detained them in Joyentopur border area Thursday, while they were trying to trespass into the Indian territory said Nazrul Islam, camp commander of a Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Benapole checkpost. 

BSF handed the detainees over to BGB around 4:30am today. They were later handed over to Benapole Police Station. A case has been filed in this connection.
