Shahjahan vows to make Biman more profitable
The newly sworn-in Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal today vowed to make Biman Bangladesh Airlines more profitable organisation saying that it is not a difficult task.
"It is not a difficult task to transform the Biman into a profitable organisation. I will try to make it possible at any cost," Kamal said at a meeting with employees and staff of the ministry after taking charge as the new Civil Aviation and Tourism minister.
Earlier, immediate past minister of the ministry and now Social Welfare Minster Rashed Khan Menon handed over the charge to AKM Shahjahan Kamal at the ministry's meeting room in the morning.
Seeking cooperation from all employees in running the ministry, Kamal said "I may not get much time... but if employees of the ministry help me, I will be able to perform my duties appropriately".
Rashed Khan Menon appraised the employees of the ministry's activities during his tenure and asked them to continue their cooperation to the new minister.
Yesterday, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Menon was relocated to Social Welfare Ministry while newly sworn-in AKM Shahjahan Kamal replaced him.
