4 ‘militants’ held in Natore

Law enforcers today detained four suspected militants of the banned outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Natore Sadar upazila.

The detainees are Shafiqul Islam, Fajlur Rahman, Anisur Rahman and Jakir Hossain Jakir of the district, our Natore correspondent reports quoting Superintendent of Police Biplob Bijoy Talukdar.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police raided two houses at north Dighapatia around 6:00am and detained the four JMB suspects, the SP said.

The law enforcers also recovered five cocktails, four machetes, one laptop and some books on jihad from their possession.
