208kg 'khat' seized in Chattogram

Customs officials seized 208 kilogrammes of khat, a new psychoactive substance (NPS), from Foreign Post Office in Fakirhat area near Chattogram port.

The consignment came from Ethiopia through the Foreign Post Office, Meheraj Samrat, deputy commissioner of Chattogram Custom House (CCH), told out local staff correspondent.

It was addressed to one Arif Enterprise in Feni and Eftekhar Uddin from Khalishohor in Chattogram, the customs official said.  

Earlier on August 31, September 8 and 11, 460kg, 160kg and 1,600kg consignments of similar substance were seized by the customs officials in Dhaka.
