An employee of a cloth shop was shot by unidentified assailants in New Market area of Dhaka last night.

Zubayer Md Dipu, 25, suffered bullet wounds in his leg and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, said Sentu Chandra Das, an assistant sub-inspector of the hospital’s police camp.

 Dipu came under the attack in front of the kitchen market in the area around 11:45pm, police said.

The victim works at a cloth shop of New Market, ASI Sentu Chandra said.
