JU teachers’ retirement age lowered to 65

The retirement age for teachers at Jahangirnagar University (JU) has been lowered from 67 years to 65 years.
The decision was made during a meeting of the JU Senate chaired by Vice Chancellor Farzana Islam this afternoon, according to a press release issued by the university.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The new retirement age will take retrospective effect from May 3, 2014 when the retirement age was increased from 65 years to 67 years.
