Housewife burnt in acid attack at Mohammadpur

A housewife was burnt in an acid attack carried out by miscreants at Mohammadpur in Dhaka early today, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

Sonia Akhter, 28, was rushed to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

Residential Surgeon Partha Shangkar Paul told Prothom Alo that Sonia sustained burns on her upper body and hands.

She came under the attack near her house while she was waiting for me, said Rony, her husband at DMCH.
