Fake doctor held at DMCH

Police detained a fake doctor from Dhaka Medical College Hospital this morning.

The detained was identified as Rafiqul Islam, 37.

Rafiqul, introduced himself as a doctor at DMCH and demanded money from a patient, Borhan Uddin, said Sentu Chandra Das, assistant sub- inspector at DMCH police camp.

Suspecting his identity, the patient informed hospital authority. Later police detained Rafiqul around 7:00am at the labour ward,said the police official.

He had taken money from many patients at the hospital, added police.

The aggrieved people amassed there and gave a good beating to the false physician, a witness said.
