Construction worker dies falling off building in Dhaka

A construction worker died after falling from a nine-storey building in Dhaka’s Malibagh area this morning.

The deceased, Shariful Islam, 24, was working on the top floor of the under-construction building when a wooden plank toppled on him and he lost his balance and fell down, reports our correspondent quoting Sub-inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost.

He was rushed to DMCH where doctors pronounced him dead, the sub-inspector added.
