3 ‘Hizb-ut Tahrir militants’ held in Ctg

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) today claimed arrest of three members of the banned militant outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir from Chittagong city.
They were identified as Muntasir Alam, a teacher of an English medium school, Nur Mohammad, an advocate, and AKM Salauddin, a fresh graduate.
They were arrested in a special drive launched in Muradpur area of the port city around 1:00am, Miftah Uddin, commanding officer of Rab-7, told The Daily Star.
“They are all active members of Hizb-ut Tahrir,” he said.
