3 held at Kamalapur for black marketing tickets
Three people were held by the railway police for selling train tickets in the black market at Kamlapur Train station this afternoon.
Police arrested Al Amin, 32, Sujon Ahmed Nasir, 30, and Md Shajahan, 62, and recovered 17 train tickets from their possession.
They collected tickets from the counter and tried to sell them at a higher price, Rafiqul Islam, operation officer of Dhaka railway police station told The Daily Star.
Demand for train tickets is high ahead of the homebound rush for Eid-ul-Azha. Advance train tickets came on sale yesterday and people were queuing in long lines to get them.
