Miraz, Hasan picked in LPL draft

Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz and pacer Hasan Mahmud were picked by separate franchises in the 2026 Lanka Premier League (LPL) Players' Draft on Monday.

Miraz was snapped up by Galle Gallants, while Hasan was selected by Colombo Kaps during the draft ceremony.

Their inclusion takes the number of Bangladesh cricketers in this year's LPL to five. The tournament is scheduled to run from July 17 to August 8.

Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed were pre-signed by Jaffna Kings, while Litton Das joined Galle Gallants as a pre-signed player ahead of the draft.
