Three members of a family including a five-year-old girl died from electrocution at their Lalbagh house in Dhaka this morning.
The victims are: Shirin Begum, 30, her daughter Afrin, 5, and mother-in-law, Amena Begum, 55.
Doctors at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) pronounced them dead around 11:30am after the victims were rushed there, Sub-Inspector (SI) Bacchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police camp, told The Daily Star.
Following a transformer blast, the trio came in contact with a snapped electric cable on the first floor of a tin-shed house in Islambagh area, medical sources said.
