BOUNTIES OF BANGLADESH
Every winter, the farmlands surrounding the Shankha River in Chattogram's Chandanaish upazila are carpeted with fresh winter vegetables. Starting from glossy purple and green aubergines and green hyacinth beans to thick white radishes and large fresh cauliflowers. Added to those are the array of beautiful green and red spinaches. Farmers harvest the veggies and carry them across the river to sell them to the wholesale Dohazari market throughout the cold season. From there, these are sent to markets across the port city.
