United International University's Launchpad programme continues to nurture young innovators, turning bold ideas into real ventures through mentorship, training, and pre-seed investment.
Innovation took centre stage at United International University (UIU) as Launchpad by UIHP@UIU celebrated the finale of its 2nd Cycle 2025, recognising some of the most promising young entrepreneurs in the country.
The initiative, a flagship programme of UIU under the Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem Development (DEIED) Project in collaboration with the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA), aims to equip students and aspiring innovators with the tools to transform their ideas into successful start-ups.
Over the past three months, 23 start-up teams participated in an intensive journey of mentorship and hands-on training. From validating their ideas and designing business models to mastering financial planning and investor pitching, participants were guided through every stage of the entrepreneurial process.
This year's finale showcased a range of groundbreaking projects, reflecting the creativity and technical expertise of the participants. Growbrandly, the Champion of Innovation Cohort 4, received BDT 45,000 in pre-seed funding for their "Interactive Gamification Platform" that redefines marketing engagement through play-based experiences.
In Innovation Cohort 5, NeuroPilot emerged as the champion, earning BDT 80,000 for developing an EEG-based concentration tracking solution for edtech. Their innovation integrates neuroscience with education to help learners improve focus and academic performance.
Innovation Cohort 6 produced two champions—Spendo AI, which focuses on an AI-powered accounting and financial management solution, and Team Aldians with their project TERRANOVA, an AI-driven real estate property portal. Both teams were awarded BDT 60,000 each as pre-seed funding for their ventures.
In total, BDT 7.5 lakh in pre-seed funding was awarded to the top-performing start-ups, marking another milestone in UIU's ongoing mission to strengthen Bangladesh's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Through initiatives like Launchpad by UIHP@UIU, the university continues to empower students to think creatively, embrace technology, and become part of a new generation of innovators shaping the future of Bangladesh's digital economy.
