Walton Smart inverter chillers now used at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth and General Hospital

Bangladesh's leading electronics and technology brand Walton has achieved another international milestone as its smart inverter air-cooled chiller ACs are now being used at two of Singapore's most prestigious healthcare institutions - Mount Elizabeth Hospital and General Hospital.

Walton described this as a landmark moment for Bangladesh's export sector and a testament to the nation's growing technological capability in producing and marketing high-end engineering products for global markets.

According to sources, Flair M&E Private Ltd - a company in Singapore's air-conditioning sector and Walton's local business partner - has already installed Walton's smart inverter chillers at General Hospital's process cooling system and is currently completing installations at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

Walton Air Conditioner's Chief Business Officer, Md. Tanvir Rahman, said "The development marks a proud moment for Bangladesh, noting that while basic AC materials were once imported from Singapore, Walton's products are now being installed in that very market. Flair M&E is also implementing Walton's chiller and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air-conditioning systems across several other major infrastructures in Singapore."

Walton is the first and only manufacturer of VRF air conditioners in Bangladesh, having inaugurated its VRF AC manufacturing facility in 2020 - making Bangladesh the ninth country in the world to possess such production capability, says a press release. The company continues to invest in research, innovation, and environmentally friendly technologies, integrating AI, IoT, and energy-efficient systems into its residential and commercial air-conditioning lines.

Walton's VRF systems feature Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers (BPHE), advanced refrigerant PCB cooling technology to enhance system stability, and support for large-scale installations with 130% combination ratios and 100-meter piping lengths. The company's chillers include inverter compressors, PLC-based smart control systems with touchscreens, low-noise operation, and automatic protection features.

All Walton air-conditioning products comply with international and local certifications, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RoHS, CE, and BSTI. Every unit undergoes stringent safety and performance testing at the NUSDAT-UTS laboratory to ensure reliability and global-standard quality.

Walton is currently expanding its footprint across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, with operations in over 50 countries and a target to enter 100 markets. Through exports of VRF, chiller, and commercial ACs, the company aims to strengthen Bangladesh's position as a hub for advanced, sustainable electronics manufacturing and to contribute significantly to foreign currency earnings.
