SMC participates in Dhaka International Trade Fair 2026
Social Marketing Company (SMC) inaugurated its pavilion at the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) 2026 on January 5, 2026.
The fair began on January 3 and provides a national platform for organisations to connect with consumers and showcase products and services linked to economic and social development.
The pavilion was inaugurated in the presence of Toslim Uddin Khan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SMC, and Sayef Nasir, Managing Director of SMC Enterprise Limited, along with other senior officials.
At the fair, SMC is presenting its public health initiatives. A key feature of the pavilion is a dedicated Breastfeeding Corner. It offers a safe, comfortable and hygienic space for mothers to breastfeed their infants. The initiative reflects SMC's focus on maternal and child health and its efforts to promote mother-friendly facilities in public spaces.
The pavilion is also offering basic health screening services through trained paramedics. Visitors can receive blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests and weight measurements during the fair.
SMC is displaying and selling a wide range of products. These include items related to maternal and child health, nutrition, contraceptives, health and hygiene, rehydration, and food and beverage. The products are designed to support healthier lifestyles across different socio-economic groups.
During the event, Toslim Uddin Khan highlighted that SMC's interventions - ranging from family planning and nutrition to maternal and child health services - continue to make a meaningful impact by ensuring access to affordable and quality health solutions across the country. He further noted that the Dhaka International Trade Fair provides an important platform to demonstrate how SMC's diverse and versatile product portfolio aligns with its mission of improving lives. He added that SMC has been making a significant contribution to national health and family planning programmes through its products and services.
Speaking at the inauguration, Sayef Nasir said that SMC Enterprise Limited has been working to ensure the availability of quality products across all categories. He noted that SMC has leading brands in each category, including SMC ORSaline, SMC Plus and SMC Fruity in rehydration; Sensation and Panther condoms; Femicon, Femipil and Norix-1 contraceptive pills; Joya sanitary napkins; Smile baby diapers; and Taste Me instant powder drinks. He added that these products contribute to improving health outcomes and quality of life, while supporting SMC's broader mission of social development through sustainable commercial operations.
Through its participation in the Dhaka International Trade Fair, SMC is highlighting its continued role in supporting the wellbeing of women, children and families, while strengthening Bangladesh's public health system.
