A delegation from the Netherlands, including Thijs Woudstra, deputy ambassador to Bangladesh, visited BM Container Depot Ltd in Chattogram on Thursday.

The delegation expressed satisfaction with BM Depot's adherence to global safety, security, and operational standards, according to a press release from the company.

"We are impressed by the high standards maintained by BM Container Depot Ltd. The integration of advanced safety measures and automation reflects a forward-thinking approach to logistics and trade facilitation," Woudstra said.

Capt. Mainul Ahsan, executive director of BM Container Depot Ltd, noted that the delegation praised the depot's implementation of advanced safety and security systems, as well as its automated operations, ensuring high-quality service in handling export and import logistics.

Among those present were Nadia van de Weem, private sector development coach for Bangladesh and India at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency; Monnujan Khanam, senior adviser for Economic and Commercial Affairs; and Mostafizur Rahman, chairman of the SMART Group, the parent organization of BM Container Depot Ltd.
