AKIJ Resource launches South Asia Travel and Hajj Service

AKIJ Resource has launched South Asia Travel and Hajj Service, a new concern aimed at ensuring reliable, transparent, and quality Hajj and Umrah services for Muslims.

The service was formally inaugurated on Thursday evening at the South Asia Travel and Hajj Service office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka. Sheikh Jasim Uddin, Managing Director of AKIJ Resource, attended the programme as the chief guest.

Addressing the occasion, Sheikh Jasim Uddin said, "Oranizing Hajj and Umrah are very sensitive and sacred service sector. Quality of service, transparency and credibility are the most important in this sector. We have decided to enter this sector after noticing the lack of quality and transparent services in the Hajj and Umrah service sector for a long time. South Asia Travel and Hajj Service will be a reflection of the trust and professionalism with which Akij Resource has been conducting business. We want those who are going to perform Hajj and Umrah to get a safe, orderly and uninterrupted service."

Abu Ammar Abdulla, Head of Business of South Asia Travel and Hajj Service, said the company will focus on addressing long-standing gaps in the sector. He noted that its priorities include ending excessive pricing and opaque payment systems, preventing misinformation and fraudulent campaigns, introducing modern technology-based booking and tracking systems, and providing round-the-clock support through experienced muallim and trained guides.

South Asia Travel and Hajj Service will offer group and customised Hajj and Umrah packages, visa processing, air ticketing, hotel reservations in Makkah and Madina, local transportation, muallim and guide support, real-time customer assistance, and special training sessions and seminars for Hajj pilgrims.

Mohammad Towfique Hasan, Chief Business Development Officer of AKIJ Resource; Mohammed Afsar Uddin, Chief People Officer; Sohanur Rahman Sohan, Deputy Chief Operating Officer; and senior officials from various business units of AKIJ Resource were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
