AAUB marks 7th Raising Day at Lalmonirhat campus
Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) marked its 7th Raising Day at its Lalmonirhat campus.
Asadul Habib Dulu, minister for disaster management and relief, attended as chief guest and inaugurated the programme, according to a press release.
He said the university has made notable progress in a short time and could contribute to education, the economy and communication infrastructure in Lalmonirhat.
He said the institution could also support the development of the aviation and aerospace sectors in Bangladesh.
The minister visited laboratories and research facilities on campus.
He encouraged students to work with dedication and called on teachers to promote values alongside academic learning.
Vice-Chancellor Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman welcomed the chief guest and later saw him off.
As part of the programme, the university unveiled its aviation and aerospace magazine titled “SPACE & BEYOND”.
A cultural performance by students was also held.
The programme was attended by the divisional commissioner of Rangpur, government and military officials, and members of the university.
AAUB began operations in 2019 at Tejgaon and started undergraduate activities at its Lalmonirhat campus on July 3, 2022.
The university now offers four undergraduate and five postgraduate programmes under four faculties.
