Dhaka stocks rebounded from the previous day's loss while the turnover surged at the closing. 

The DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained 7.93 points, or 0.15 percent, to close at 5,200.37. 

Among the traded securities, 167 advanced, 160 declined, and 74 remained unchanged.  

The turnover increased 9 percent to Tk 465.69 crore compared to the previous session. 

The Shariah-based DSES index gained 0.43 percent to 1,162.91 points, while the blue-chip DS30 index went down 0.16 percent to 1,909.89.  

Fu-wang Foods topped the gainers' list, rising 10 percent, while Midland Bank fell the most by 8 percent.
