Remittance inflow rises 25% in February

Remittance inflow to Bangladesh rose 25 percent year-on-year to $2.52 billion in February this year.
The amount was $2.02 billion in the same month last year, according to Bangladesh Bank data released today.
Bangladeshi migrants sent home $153 million in the last two days of the previous month, February 27-28.
The amount of inward remittance also experienced a 23.8 percent year-on-year growth in the eight months to February this year.
Around $18.49 billion in remittance came to Bangladesh in the July 2024 to February 2025 period, up from $14.93 billion in the July 2023 to February 2024 period, the central bank data showed.
