Maldives keen to help Bangladesh utilise marine resources
Maldives will help Bangladesh utilise its huge marine resources, Shiruzimath Sameer, the high commissioner of the southern Asian country, said today.
The envoy expressed her country's willingness in a meeting with Bangladesh's Agriculture Minister Muhammad Abdur Razzaque at the secretariat in Dhaka.
Maldives is also keen on collaborating in the field of agriculture, the minister said.
The country in the north-central Indian Ocean will specially work on capacity building and technical expertise in the agricultural sector, Razzaque said.
The independent island nation also wants to take mango from Bangladesh, he said.
The minister shared the information at a press briefing after the meeting with the Maldivian high commissioner.
